Welcome to Living Earth Labyrinths!
What is a Labyrinth?
A labyrinth is an ancient symbol, one that has found meaning and interpretation in cultures and traditions around the world. Popular use of the design is as a walking meditation, somewhere to reinvigorate and balance the mind-body-spirit. Contrary to a maze, a labyrinth has one path that leads from the outside to the centre and back again. It is impossible to get lost in a labyrinth; all you need to do to reach the centre is keep walking. Currently there is something of a resurgent interest happening around labyrinths, with permanent ones being installed in hospitals and parks, schools and colleges, nursing and care homes, and private and public spaces both in the UK and abroad. Facilitated walks using temporary labyrinths are popping up all over the place, as the health and welfare benefits of walking a labyrinth become more widely known.

Each of us has our own path to walk, a path that keeps turning us towards our own unique gifts and talents. Caught up in the busy-ness of daily life, it can be easy to overlook what is right in front of us or hidden deep within. Entering the sacred space of a labyrinth invites that which is present to make itself more fully known. Answering the invitation may bring greater awareness, a shift in perspective, or the release of buried feelings that can be healing on many levels. The earth body is continuous with our own individual bodies - heal yourself, and you heal the world too.

Living Earth Labyrinths regularly conducts labyrinth walks on one of the many beautiful, sandy beaches adorning the coast of Northumberland, an area of outstanding, natural beauty. These can be booked as an 'Experience' through Airbnb, or through contacting Jacqueline directly through the website.
See you on the path!
